Matt grew up in Denver and attended Columbia University and Colorado College, where he received his undergraduate degree in 1988. Matt has been with Walberg, Tucker & Holmes since he graduated from the University of Denver College of Law in 1991. His civil and commercial litigation practice includes the defense of personal injury, premises liability, bad faith, construction defect, contractual disputes and product liability claims, as well as all aspects of insurance claims and coverage. In addition to an exemplary trial record, Matt works hard to maintain a reputation among colleagues and clients as an attorney who is hard-working and well-prepared. He holds a Martindale-Hubbell AV rating, which is the highest peer review rating given to attorneys. Matt is licensed to practice in all state and federal courts of Colorado, New Mexico, and Wyoming.

Mr. Holmes became a shareholder in 2001. His insurance defense practice focuses on personal injury, commercial, and insurance claims. He also is active in providing evaluations and legal opinions regarding insurance coverage and defense obligations. Mr. Holmes regularly offers presentations to update his insurance clients on developments in Colorado, New Mexico, and Wyoming law. He enjoys his role as a mentor for those new attorneys joining the firm.
